I like to ask people to tell me their testimonies on how they came to church and got saved. Sometimes, I get to hear interesting ones. Sometimes I hear really inspiring ones. Everytime, it’s an encouragement, especially when I’m not doing so well.
Revelations 12:11 “They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.”
Personal testimony is really a powerful thing.
My friend really went through a lot of objection from her father. He locked her out of the house, scolded her and even wrote complaint letters to the church. She was barred from going to church. During that time, she said it was really heart-breaking for her. But she loves God so much, she just wouldn’t give up. After 3 years, she got her breakthrough. 3 years!!
It’s amazing. So many people, after a little tribulation, they fall away. But God will never put us through something we can’t bear. My friend has the never-say-die attitude. She refused to give up on God and church. And I believe she’ll go far in life.
